She was the daughter to the media legend Larry King and his third ex-wife called Alene Akins. Larry and Chaia’s mother got married at the age of 29 years old. Before he had two marriages, first with Fred Miller his high school love whom Larry tied the knot with in the year 1952 when he was a teen precisely 19 years old. Her second step-mother was called Annette Kaye. She was the grand child to Edward Zeiger and Jennie Gitlitz. The daughter of Larry King hails from a huge family with four siblings who are; Cannon Edward King, Larry King Jr., Chance Armstrong King, and Andy King. Her brother who is late Andy, Akins’ son was adopted from a past relationship after the two got married. Her parents Akins and King first tied the knot in 1961 and the two separated in 1963. They later re-united in 1967 only to split again in 1972.
Miss King’s father died on 19th August 2020 due to complications from lung cancer. He was said to have battled lung cancer bravely for years before succumbing to it in August 2020. Her elder half-brother, Andy, 65 years old, passed on unexpectedly the previous week.
