She aired the story of the kidnapping of two Antelope Valley teenagers, that triggered the state’s first Amber Alert. She started serving at KMIR-TV in Palm Springs as a producer/general assignment reporter in the year 2003. During her tenure, Leticia aired the California wildfires, that made her entire family to run away from their home. She started serving as a general assignment reporter at KERO-TV in Bakersfield in the year 2005.
Leticia left California in the year 2007 to serve as a morning reporter for KHOU-television in Houston, Texas. Leticia aired Hurricane Ike as it hit the Bayou City in the month of September 2008. In the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, she aired the search for the missing and the recovery attempts. She started serving at KIAH-TV in the year 2009. Leticia’s reporting from Louisiana on the Gulf oil spill got her a Lone Star Emmy Award for her series “First Eyes on the Black Tide.”
