Come April 2018, Pastor Robert went for a hernia surgery. When almost taking a bath, Robert fainted two times and needed the help of his wife to get into the tub. Doctors couldn’t feel his pulse the second time he fainted again . He was rushed to the hospital where he was discovered to have internal bleeding.
For eight days, he was in the hospital until doctors got two broken arteries leaking blood into his abdominal cavity. He had already lost more than 50 percent of his blood, which would usually kill someone just in a few minutes. Doctors are also surprised by the internal bleeding from Morris. A Gateway Church doctor told Morris that there is “no medical explanation” for the bleeding.
Robert Morris Gateway Church
He started the Gateway Church on September 16th 1999, in Southlake, Texas, with its first service held on Easter morning, April 23rd 2000, at the Hilton Hotel in Grapevine. The church grew and relocated to Grapevine’s old movie theater. Come June 2003, the church went into its first permanent building on Southlake Blvd., a 600-seat, 64,000-square-foot facility.
Gateway launched its new building, a 64-acre property with a sanctuary of 4,000 seats, in 2010. The church has since grown to more than 100,000 active members from its on set in 2000. His TV show airs in more than 190 countries, and with Pastor Robert, his radio program, Worship & the Word, airs in over 1,800 radio markets across America.
