Pokimane dropped out of school while she was studying Chemical engineering only to venture into her streaming career full time. Come 2017, the Shorty Awards recognized her as the best Twitch Streamer of the year.
Pokimane had a cameo featuring in a League of Legends trailer bringing up a new game mode. At E3 in 2018, Epic Games, the developers of Fortnite, organized a pro- am event. The happening put together streamers with mainstream celebrities in a match of fortnite’s Battle Royale mode; Anys was joined with rapper Desiigner but few moments before the activity, she was substituted with basketball player Josh Hart.
Come Mid- March 2019, she talked about her declining amount of Fortnite streams, claiming that she needed to meditate on her likes and dislikes.
